The centre is located on the grounds of RMIT University in a beautiful semi-rural setting bounded by heritage-listed redgums. The name, meaning ‘white mate’, was given to the Centre by the Wurundjeri Land Council. The Wurundjeri people were the original inhabitants of the land on which the Centre is located.
