CENTRE DIRECTOR 

Renae

Hi my name is Renae and I am the Director of Numdaji Kwei Children’s Centre and have been in this role since May 2008.

I have had the pleasure of working in the early childhood field since 1995, I have worked with all age groups from 3 months to 6 years at every level; Assistant, Group Leader, 2IC and Director. I hold an Advanced Diploma in Children’s Services.

The best part of my job is watching each child learn through play and reaching their milestones while in our care. I also have the privilege of making sure the centre provides a warm and stimulating environment for all children and families that attend the centre.

I look forward to getting to know you and your family and hope that you have a wonderful and enjoyable time at Numdaji Kwei Children’s Centre.

SECOND IN CHARGE & EDUCATIONAL LEADER 

Megan

Hello my name is Megan. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and Certificate IV Education Support. I have been a part of Numdaji Kwei Children’s Centre since March 2020.

I have been working within the Early Childhood Education sector since 2016, before that I was a stay at home mum to my 3 children. Over these wonderful years I’ve learnt children teach us just as much as we try teach them.

I believe children’s education is the most valuable thing, knowledge is power and I recognise that the earlier it begins the better.

Caterpillar Room Lead Educator – Laura

Hello, my name is Laura. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.

I have been in the industry for 29 years. I am currently studying my Bachelors of Education ( Early Childhood) as I love learning about children and ways to help them become confident little learners.

During my spare time I love spending time with my family. I have two children, my daughter 19 years and my son is 16 years old.

My husband and I love going on outdoor adventures and bringing along our fur baby Hugo, our mini Dachshund. I look forward to working at Numdaji Kwei and getting to know all the staff. families and children.

Caterpillar Room Co-Educator – Ling 

Hello my name is Ling. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. I have been in the Early Childhood Sector since 2021 and have been a part of Numdaji Kwei Children’s Centre since November 2023.

I am from China and am a mother of two children; a daughter and a son. I am very passionate about working, interacting and engaging in play with children. I enjoy witnessing their growth and development while being a part of their early learning journey. I strongly believe that every child deserves the best education and care.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, travelling and exploring new places with my children; I also enjoy reading and listening to music.

I look forward to getting to know all the children and their families at Numdaji Kwei.

Bumble Bee Room Lead Educator – Penelope

Hello my name is Penelope. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and have been a part of Numdaji Kwei Children’s Centre since November 2022.

I have been working in the Early Childhood Sector since 2008, I am passionate and love to work with children while watching them grow and learn.

In my spare time I enjoy listening to music such as opera and spending time with my family. I have a little boy who is amazing and a partner I love.

I look forward to getting to know all the families and children at Numdaji Kwei.

Bumble Bee Room Co-Educator – Jessie

Hello my name is Jessie. I hold a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and have been a part of Numdaji Kwei Children’s Centre since March 2023.

I have two lovely children, a daughter and a son and I really enjoy accompanying them growing up and witnessing their development. I feel passionate about spending time with children every single day.

In my spare time I like to do many types of crafts and cultivate my children’s interest in doing things together. I also like to spend time with my family and friends.

I look forward to getting to know all the children and their families at Numdaji Kwei.

Bumble Bee Room Co-Educator – Shirin

Hello, my name is Shirin. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and have been a part of Numdaji Kwei Children’s Centre since May 2022.
I have been working in the Early Childhood Industry since 2019. I have 2 daughters named Nicki and Hannah and I enjoy spending quality time with my family.
I believe one of my greatest strengths is forming strong relationships and bonds with the children. I enjoy teaching children new things and watching the ‘twinkle’ in their eyes when they understand or learn something new and seeing how proud they look.
I look forward to getting to know all the families and children and being a part of the team at NKCC.

Kindergarten Teacher – Princess

Hello my name is Princess. I hold a Bachelor of Early Learning. I have been in the Early Childhood Sector since 2002 and have been a part of Numdaji Kwei Children’s Centre since June 2023.

I have been working in the Early Years sector for a long time and yet I continue to be amazed by the skills and learning dispositions children show in their interactions. I have such a passion for this industry and working with young children. I like to constantly challenge and question my own pedagogy to ensure that everything I do is always for the children’s success.

My cultural background is Filipino and I visit my relatives in the Philippines as often as I can. I have a loving and supportive husband and I have 2 children as well as a dog that we take on local holidays.

I look forward to getting to know all the families and children at Numdaji Kwei.

Butterfly Room Lead Educator – Stephanie

Hello, my name is Stephanie.

I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care since 2013 and have been a part of the Numdaji Kwei team from August 2024.

I have a big family and have always had little cousins to take care of. I am very passionate about helping children learn and develop, and to support children in reaching their goals. I am studying my bachelor’s in early childhood teaching and have a passion for supporting children with additional needs.

In my spare time, I enjoy going on outdoor adventures with my partner, reading books and spending time with family and friends.

CENTRE CHEF – Eva

Hello my name is Eva. I hold an Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management and Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.

I have been working in the Early Childhood Sector since 2019 and have been a part of Numdaji Kwei Children’s Centre since December 2022.

I was born in China and I am a mother of two girls. I enjoy working with children as they remind me how much difference we can make in the world if we take proper care of the next generation. I respect everyone working with young children and see them as heroes changing the world.

I look forward to getting to know all the families and children at Numdaji Kwei.

BREAK RELIEVER – Cecilia

Hi I’m Cecilia, I hold a Diploma of Children’s Services and have been working in this sector since 2010, not too long after in July 2011 I became a part of the team at Numdaji Kwei. Through this journey I have acquired skills & experiences, working with children across all age groups including children with additional needs.

I was born in Hong Kong and migrated to Melbourne in 1992. I am married and have a son. Apart from English, I also speak Cantonese and Mandarin.

I have a passion for early childhood education and I strongly believe it is my privilege that parents trust me and leave their most precious children in my care. I am committed to respecting and protecting the right of every child and work to the best interest of all the children.

FAMILIAR CASUAL RELIEVERS:

Wei 

Hi my name is Wei. I have a Certificate III in Children’s Services and have been in the Early Childhood sector from 2011.

I’ve lived in Australia since 2001. My background is Chinese and I speak fluent Mandarin.

I’ve worked as a reliever at Numdaji Kwei since April 2012 as a casual reliever. I’m very happy to be at Numdaji Kwei and I do my best to take care of each child. In my spare time I like to make yummy food for my family and well as read books.

Jadranka

Hi there, my name is Jadranka. I hold my bachelor of Early Childhood Studies. I have been in the industry since 1991. I work as a reliever and have been at Numdaji Kwei Children’s Centre since 2001.

I am a mother of two beautiful children, a son and a daughter. I lover travelling and exploring new places, cities, countries and continents. In my spare time, I love to read, watch movies, go for walks and listen to music.

Helen

Hello my name is Helen. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and have been a part of Numdaji Kwei Children’s Centre since June 2022.

I was born in China and immigrated to Melbourne in 1996. I can speak fluent English, Cantonese, Mandarin and a Chinese dialect from Teochew. In my spare time I really enjoy looking after my flowers and plants, each flower and plant is unique and has different characteristics.

Early Childhood Education has always been an interest and important field for me. I enjoy witnessing children’s growth and development whilst being a part of their learning journey.
